Oksana Chabot
Oksana is a Master’s level Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who
completed her internship at a substance abuse recovery center and decided to expand
into helping individuals and families struggling with complex trauma, addictions, anger,
anxiety, depression, and attachment issues, especially parents who are on a verge of
losing their children and need help establishing support and professional guidance to be
able to have a fresh start with the most effective tools available, including various self-
regulation techniques.
Oksana’s approach is holistic, where mind, body, soul, and spirit harmony are a goal so
that one can live a fulfilling, meaningful life. Oksana is a published author of her life
recovery memoir, “Rocky Road to Recovery: Breaking the Generational Curses of
Family Dysfunction and Self-Destructive Behavior through Faith and Action.” Having
come from an abusive alcoholic home in her country and having managed to succeed in
life despite many obstacles, she has a deep understanding of inner challenges and
shares her expertise with others.
Oksana provides a safe, nurturing, trauma-sensitive environment to her clients to
ensure they feel heard and validated. She looks at a person’s behavior through the
nervous system’s lens and trauma history, and tailors her treatment approach to each
client, whether an adult, child, or family. Oksana is trained in EFT (Emotional Freedom
Technique), Substance Abuse, Trauma Treatment, and Parenting. She is currently
pursuing training in Play Therapy, Sandtray Play Therapy, HeartMath, EMDR, and
Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method. And lastly, Oksana is passionate about getting to the
root of the issue and uses inner child work because often the child inside is forgotten.
Oksana is married to a US Veteran. They have two children, ages 4 and 6, and two
dogs. They enjoy spending time in nature and traveling.
