Khazyra Tate

Khazyra Tate, LMSW, is a licensed social worker and mental health professional with nearly a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. Through individual and family counseling, she specializes in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

A New Jersey native, Khazyra relocated to South Carolina in 2014 to pursue her passion for social work. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from South Carolina State University in 2018 and completed her Master of Social Work at the University of South Carolina–Columbia in 2019 through the Advanced Standing program, selected for her strong academic performance. She is licensed in the field as an LMSW.

Khazyra began her career as a school-based counselor with the Department of Mental Health, where she received specialized training and hands-on experience in children’s mental health services. Following graduate school, she served as a Child Welfare Case Manager, working to promote safety, stability, and well-being for vulnerable children and families.

Grounded in compassion and professionalism, Khazyra’s therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She is known for creating a warm, supportive environment that encourages healing, self-reflection, and personal growth. Her dedication to advocacy and community service, combined with her leadership and commitment to client-centered care, makes her a valuable asset to every team and organization she serves.
