Benzel Vereen

Benzel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Work, leveraging his educational background to serve as a dedicated case worker at APMH. With a focus on Interpersonal Development and Critical Thinking, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role. A retired veteran and a high school wrestling coach, Benzel found his calling in the mental health field, driven by a passion to help others see the value and power within themselves.

During his military service, Benzel extended his compassion beyond borders, aiding children, teens, and young adults in third-world countries. Now, he is committed to extending that same level of care and support to his local community. As a single father raising five children, two of whom are now adults, Benzel’s life revolves around shared interests, particularly wrestling, boating, and video games. The family, which includes two beloved dogs named Summer and Blue, enjoys spending quality time together.
