Alyssa Caggiano
Alyssa Caggiano is a social worker passionate about working with children and families. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University. Alyssa has been in the social work field for five years. She has worked with children and families in child protective services as an investigator and as an adoption social worker for a licensing agency.
Alyssa works with children of any age as well as adults. She believes everyone, including children, should have a safe space to work through life’s stressors and feel supported. Her areas of expertise is trauma, childhood abuse/neglect, domestic violence, DSS involvement, foster care/adoption, military, and divorce. Alyssa was a military spouse for seven years. She has personal and professional experience working with military families including veterans.
Alyssa believes it is important for her to assist her clients in working through their past experiences while also learning ways to cope with future stressors. Her favorite part of working as a social worker is making client’s feel that they have been seen and heard.
Alyssa is a mom to two toddlers boys who are 17 months apart. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She can often be found crafting a handmade gift for a loved one or gardening.
